This new WHiFi© player is a completely new design with some unique features. Based on an Apple Airport Express, the new AirDream module has been completely re-engineered. All four main sections, power supply, master clock, digital to analog converter and analog output have been redesigned from scratch.

All parts used to build ARIA are pristine and their selection was a challenge. The system is capable of such a level of reproduction transparency that each component change can be noticed easily. A longprocess was necessary to optimize each section and the listening result is spectacular.

ARIA is certainly the best file player available today and is dedicated to all music lovers searching for the truth of the musical message.

AS-400 Integrated AirStream Amp
Based on IA-400, our new high power integrated amplifier, AS-400 is the first integrated amplifier to benefit from AirStream technology. AS-400 benefits from all functionalities from IA-400 with the same electrical design and components quality. On top of this AS-400 is equipped with a completely new AirStream module which brings the AirStream technology to a new level, providing a music reproduction quality never reached before.

The new AirStream module is a completely new design with some unique features. Based on an Apple Airport Express, the new AirStream module has been completely revised. The four main sections, power supply, master clock, digital to analog converter and analog output have been redesigned from scratch.

Three separate power supplies address each section: Main module, Master clock, D/A analog section. All of these power supplies are different from each other in order to supply the perfect DC power to each section. The 25 MHz master clock oscillator is now build specifically for us by the leader of low jitter oscillator’s manufacturer. It is a Micromega part bearing the HD AUDIO logo laser engraved on. This oscillator and its specific ultra low noise power supply are now on a separate circuit board soldered to the shield of the airport module. This avoids any distance between the clock and the IC receiving this signal. The D/A converter is completely new and do not use the airport D/A converter anymore. The new D/A chip is a CS4351 Cirrus Logic part which features 2V rms output level. This D/A chip is followed by discrete pure classA Jfet buffers developed specifically for this purpose.

All on top of the amazing characteristics of the IA-400.

WM-10
It’s a changing world and it’s always been Micromega’s aim to be at the forefront of technology. Bearing this in mind they developed the WM-10 AirStream for audiophiles keen on keeping up to date with the latest advances in technology by enabling them to listen to music files stored on their computers and still enjoy the same sound quality as CD (when listening to lossless recordings).

The WM-10 uses Wi-Fi 802.11n technology dedicated to music reproduction. This advanced wireless technology, allows extremely fast data transfer rates to ensure faithful reproduction of your music files. Also, with this type of connection, the sound system is isolated electrically from the computer on which the music content is stored, thus eliminating the problem of interference commonly associated with computer electronics.

AirStream uses the WHiFi system and contributes to improving it with the aim of providing very high quality musical reproduction. Micromega has over 25 years of experience in the field of high-end digital reproduction and has worked on several developments to make the best possible use of this new technology. Improvements have been made in terms of power supply quality, stricter control of digital data transfer and better digital to analogue conversion.
